If I drive the getaway car

If I drive the getaway car

December 7

If I drive the getaway car
Will I get to stay at the hideout?
We’d have to lay low alone,
With no one around
And no place to go.
How could we find a way
To spend our time.

If I stay at the hideout
Will I get to meetup at the rendezvous?
Or will I raise suspicion with my sunlit hair
And boisterous smile
It’s probably better
That we don’t get caught
So you’d have to go alone.

If I wait for you to return
Will you think to come back?
While I reminisce about my future life
When I become yours as I’ve been
In so many dreams
Someday my prince will come.
