When you say “I love you,” it doesn’t surprise me at all.
Of course you love me.
It’s that warm and happy feeling of the comfort of old friends,
Who know who you were and
Like who you’ve become.
You love me.
But then suddenly and unexpectedly you say you’ve fallen in love with me.
Like you’ve been saying so all along
Like it’s just as understood between us.
Like I already knew.
You’ve fallen in love with me.
And you stop my heart.
Hold my breath.
Want this moment to stay
As long as it can.
This moment where I believe
That you love me.
