Comedy vs. Tragedy

Comedy vs. Tragedy

“Difference between a comedy and tragedy is:
the characters figure it out in time.”
~Beth Kelly

Imagine what happens if you end “When Harry Met Sally” right after they sleep together. It becomes the worst missed opportunity of all time. And their perfect friendship is destroyed never to return because the movie ended.

Imagine Romeo and Juliet where the last scene is the letter being sent with the plan all set. And you are certain it’ll all work out perfectly.

The only tragedy is when the movie ends too early. It’ll all be alright in the end. If it’s not all right, it’s not the end.
