Two Minutes of Tiny Noises

Two Minutes of Tiny Noises

A celebration of silence
Becomes
A celebration
of the creak of the chair
The crack of his neck,
The knock of her bones
The cough of the man
Considering his coffin
The shuffle of feet
Obviously stressed
by the stillness
The creak of a knee
The chair again
A sigh of settling
for someone
Who sighs
During the moments
set aside
For silent meditation
And a celebration
of tiny sounds
instead of silence.
