Once upon a time, media folks talked about convergence of media — and what they meant was TV, newspaper and online working together to produce one portal for local news. We’re now seeing a second convergence — this time it’s interactive media converging — social networking (facebook) with self-publishing (blogs) and personal video (YouTube) with messaging (Instant, email, and wall posts). Public and private profiles merge. Virtual and traditional reputations intermingle.
I’ve just converged by using a Facebook app to post to my blog. And more than anything else… I’m overwhelmed by the buzzwords.
