Blankets

January 17

When you know my innermost thoughts
With me ever saying them
It surprises me like a blanket
Still hot from the dryer
Thrown onto a little girl
Sitting on a couch
By a flawed father
Who just wants her to be warm.

You see things in me I’ve never seen.
And when you call me an exotic creature
I know that it’s the highest praise
When you know my innermost thoughts
With me ever saying them
It surprises me like a blanket
Still hot from the dryer
Thrown onto a little girl on a couch
By a flawed father
Who just wants her to be warm.
