Not an artist.

As the child of a concert harpist and granddaughter of a watercolorist, Stafford decided at a young age that she was a poet, not a painter or musician. With a friend’s encouragement five years ago, she took an art class to prove that she absolutely, positively was NOT an artist. And loved it. Since then, she has begun building her life to focus on art, poetry and philosophy in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In Studio

Austin. Lake Naomi. Santa Fe.

Stafford has created art nearly everywhere she’s gone in the past five years with studios in the Poconos, her home in Austin and now in the Sangre de Cristo mountains northeast of Santa Fe where she wakes up to the pinion forest and mountains every day with the inspiration to create.
